Electrical Safety Policy

The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 imposes duties, principally on employers to ensure that precautions are taken against the risk of death, personnel injury or danger from Electricity in the work place.

Electrical systems within NHS premises are both complex and varied and it is therefore essential that they are installed, serviced, maintained and inspected and tested to the required standards to ensure that they continue to function in a safe and efficient manner in order to prevent danger to life and property.
