Our Trust provides mental health, learning disability and children and family services in South Staffordshire and mental health and learning disability services in Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin. We also provide specialist services such as IAPT, addiction and inpatient mental health care for serving military personnel as well as some health services in prisons.
We serve a core population of 1.1 million, with around 3,500 staff. We are an innovative and forward thinking organisation with an expanding regional and national portfolio of services. This means we can offer successful applicants, for all roles, genuine opportunities to develop their careers, gaining experience working across a number of specialisms. We are renowned for investing in and supporting our employees and we have a strong ethos of continuous professional development.
Inpatient care is provided from centres in Stafford, Shrewsbury and Tamworth. The Redwoods Centre in Shrewsbury is a brand new, award winning facility and St George’s Hospital in Stafford has recently undergone extensive refurbishment. Specialist mother and baby, eating disorder and medium secure forensic mental health units care for patients from across the region.
Our 357 inpatient beds are only part of the story with a real emphasis on community services such as crisis resolution and home treatment; early intervention; memory services; and community development workers.
Our learning disability colleagues take a very person centred approach to care and provide specialist inpatient services for people with a learning disability and challenging behaviours.
Specialist and Family Services include Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, paediatric psychology and child development teams. Colleagues also provide dedicated care to looked after and adopted children and offer care for children in the community who would otherwise need to be in hospital.
