Supporting Staff following Critical Incidents Policy

The purpose of this Policy is to ensure that the Trust continue to be supportive to all staff who have been involved (directly or indirectly) in an adverse/critical incident (see paragraph 1.5 within document) within the workplace and to reduce, where possible and practicable, the impact of a critical incident on the individual’s psychological, physical, spiritual and social health. The primary aim of the Policy is to provide care and support to Trust staff that have been exposed to incidents that have the potential to have an ongoing impact upon the health and well-being of the individual(s) concerned.
