The merger of two award-winning NHS Trusts has been approved by regulators bringing a range of benefits for patients and service users through the joining up of physical and mental health with adult social care.
South Staffordshire and Shropshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (SSSFT) and Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent Partnership NHS Trust (SSOTP) have joined together to become Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT).
The Research and Innovation Team at South Staffordshire and Shropshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust celebrated International Clinical Trials Day on Tuesday 22 May 2018.
Guest speakers talked about their research and visitors had the opportunity to take part in a ‘chocolate trial’
The event also provided an opportunity to find out about research currently being undertaken in the Trust as well as what support is available for research or evaluation projects, how service users are involved in research, and upcoming research training opportunities.
Ward Manager at The Redwoods, Shrewsbury, Sharon Madden will be travelling down to London tomorrow for a This Morning makeover.
Sharon was nominated for the Nurse makeover by her sister Yvonne who says
“Sharon is a truly exceptional nurse who goes beyond the call of duty and always puts others before herself.”
A nurse for 40 years, Sharon has recently been promoted to Ward Manager and Yvonne felt the makeover would be a great way to celebrate as well as recognise Sharon’s commitment to the job.
South Staffordshire and Shropshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (SSSFT) is playing host to the Stafford Symposium on Mother and Baby Mental Health at St George’s Hospital on 24 and 25 May 2018.
This meeting will be attended by experts from Brazil, Egypt, France, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey and the UK and will include discussion on the worldwide development of the mother and baby mental health specialty.
