A brand new community mental health and learning disabilities hub was opened in Telford last week by South Staffordshire and Shropshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
Fuller House at Hall Court in Telford is the new hub for Primary Care Wellbeing, Community Mental Health and Learning Disabilities services covering Telford & Wrekin and East Shropshire. The building offers consulting rooms and clinic spaces as well as administrative offices and will enable staff to offer care in comfortable, appropriate surroundings as well as providing opportunities for physical health assessments.
The building, which houses around 180 staff, was formally opened by Trust Chairman Martin Gower on Tuesday 27 June, helped by two members of the Mental Health Admin Hub, Emma Lancaster and Shirley Beamond-Lane.
Anton Dias, Service Manager said “It will make a real difference having this new centre as we will be able to offer more services under one roof, including physical health checks for our service users. Bringing all the teams together in such a convenient and central location, alongside services in local communities, will provide service users with a choice of accessible and effective services”.
