Colleagues from South Staffordshire and Shropshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust will be presenting at a national conference in London looking at how to measure, monitor and improve the experience of people using mental health services.
Kath Chambers, Service User Experience Lead, carer Jean Nichols and Diane Taylor who has had experience of using mental health services will be presenting on how they work with South Staffordshire and Shropshire Healthcare to learn from service users at every level.
Dan Wellings, Patient Insight Lead for NHS England said “Decisions at a local and national level need to be informed by and reflect what matters to our patients, staff and service users.”
Kath Chambers added “Our core value is to put the people who use our services at the centre of everything we do and we have developed a range of ways to ensure we listen to and act on their feedback. We have created positions within the Trust which have lived experience of mental health services as essential elements of the person spec and continually look for better ways to engage service users and carers in all aspects of Trust life.”
Kath, Jean and Diane will be presenting at the afternoon plenary session of the conference which is being held in London on 12 May 2017.
