The national NHS Staff Survey shows how staff have rated their organisation’s leadership and culture over the past year.
Based on a review and analysis of the 32 key findings from the 2016 survey – produced by Picker Europe for the NHS- South Staffordshire and Shropshire Healthcare is the top performing mental health and learning disability trust. The Trust is performing better than its peers in the eyes of its staff, and also showing a positive trend, year on year.
The Trust scores above average compared to other mental health and learning disability trusts in the survey in nearly all key findings and has also shown staff reporting a significant improvement in job satisfaction. This measure includes how much staff would recommend the organisation as a place to work or receive treatment. Staff also report a significant increase in their motivation at work.
Greg Moores, Director of Workforce and Development said “Over the past few years we’ve worked hard to improve the way we listen to and engage our staff; our staff survey results demonstrate that we are now much better at this and have moved from being below average to one of the top mental health trusts in the country when it comes to staff experience”.
